Structure and Organization

  CSISP Biobank

CSISP Biobank acts as coordinator of the network and is defined as a storage service of DNA samples, serum and plasma offered to the scientific community to study large-scale genomics, proteomics and identification of new therapeutic targets.

The structure of the Network is based on the creation of nodes composed of clusters of specific collections belonging to biobanks that have similar characteristics in their samples or any other attribute. Within a node, subnodes can be created and formed by groups of biobanks with even more specific types of samples or any other condition.

A biobank may belong to different nodes and within the same node at different subnodes, depending on the types of samples.
Within the Network, projects to get and store human samples will be carried out.

Organization

The Network, through its internal regulations, has established the creation, composition and functions of the following bodies:

1. Governing Bodies
Governing Board
